State Representatives Billy Mitchell, Lisa Campbell, and Senator Michael Rhett will be hosting a press conference for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) Day at the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 4 p.m. The event aims to promote awareness and advocate for Georgia to become the 39th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.

According to Rep. Billy Mitchell, "We are excited to host this press conference to raise awareness about the Equal Rights Amendment and the importance of ratifying it in Georgia."

Joining Rep. Mitchell, Rep. Lisa Campbell expressed her enthusiasm by stating, "This is a crucial step towards achieving gender equality, and we are committed to pushing for the ratification of the ERA in our state."

In support of the cause, Sen. Michael Rhett added, "It is time for Georgia to take a stand for equal rights by becoming the 39th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment."

The event, scheduled to take place at the South Wing of the State Capitol, located at 206 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30334, will bring together state legislators and advocates to push for the ratification of the ERA in Georgia.
