Chief Evans administered the Oath of Office to Public Safety Liaisons (PSL) Jacob Conklin and Asia Sturgis.  PSL Conklin is a recent graduate of Kennesaw State University and has completed an internship with the Acworth Police Department.  PSL Conklin was accompanied by his family for the swearing-in.  PSL Sturgis is a recent graduate of Alabama State University and was accompanied by Alderman Houston for the swearing-in in lieu of attendance by family members who reside in Florida.  Chief Evans further administered the Oath of Office to Officer Jarred Smith who comes to the Acworth Police Department with two-and-one-half years of experience from prior employment with Dekalb County.  Officer Smith was accompanied by his girlfriend for the swearing-in.
