Allatoona High School has announced that two faculty teams have received Cobb EMC Mini Grants aimed at supporting student learning and engagement.

Gena Cochran was awarded a $300 grant to buy an additional laptop for student sign-in in the Allatoona Library. The school stated this will help streamline daily access and improve efficiency for students.

Lindsay Kovalsky and Rachel Hellerstedt received a $475 grant to purchase buzzers for the Academic Bowl they sponsor. The new equipment is expected to enhance competition and student engagement during academic events.

“We are grateful to Cobb EMC for their continued investment in innovative programs and resources that directly benefit our students and school community,” the school said in a statement.

Allatoona High School, part of the Cobb County School District, serves students in grades 9-12 as a public institution focused on high academic standards and student development. The school offers advanced placement courses, work-based learning programs, mentorship opportunities, and encourages participation in community service according to its official website.
