Austell Elementary School announced on Apr. 13 the launch of its new school podcast, The Hatch, which features students sharing their voices and discussing events happening around the school.

The initiative aims to strengthen connections between students, families, and the local community by providing a platform for student expression. The first episode introduces listeners to the students behind The Hatch and explores what inspired them to create the podcast.

“In this exciting new space, our Eagles share their voices, explore what’s happening around our school, and connect with our local community,” according to the announcement. “In our very first episode, you’ll meet the students behind The Hatch and hear what inspired them to bring this podcast to life.”

Austell Elementary School engages families through its Parent Teacher Association and Title I programs in support of student success according to the official website. The school also offers an after-school program that provides structured activities until 6:00 p.m., including on early release days according to the official website.

The school is part of Cobb County School District, which has been recognized as one of Georgia’s top workplaces according to the official website. Austell Elementary functions as a public elementary institution within this district according to the official website, seeking “to create a secure and supportive setting that promotes academic achievement for students” according to the official website.
