Chalker Elementary School has received the October Impact Award for its efforts to create a positive learning environment for students. The school has introduced several initiatives, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Circles, Zones of Regulation, Quaver lessons, and trauma-informed practices. These programs have been implemented consistently across all grade levels.

According to the school, “We have been intentional in fostering a positive learning environment for all students. We have implemented PBIS, Restorative Circles, Zones of Regulation, Quaver lessons, and trauma-informed practices with consistency and fidelity across all grade levels. Our efforts support student well-being, promote emotional regulation, and strengthen the overall school culture and climate.”

The award recognizes Chalker Elementary’s focus on supporting student well-being and promoting emotional regulation through these measures.
