City of Acworth recently issued the following announcement. 

Mayor Pro-Tem Richardson presented a proclamation in recognition of Amateur Radio Week, June 19-26, to members of the Kennehoochee Amateur Radio Club. Licensed HAM operators Hank, Dick, Gordon, and Joe and other members are recognized for their value in providing emergency communications during natural disasters and other catastrophes.  Members of the Kennehoochee Amateur Radio Club will gather to demonstrate their emergency communications preparedness during the annual American Radio Relay League, “Field Day” exercise on June 25 and 26 at Dallas Landing, whereas the public is invited to participate.
