Four Cobb County elementary schools have been recognized as 2025 Title I Reward Schools by the Georgia Department of Education. Birney Elementary, Clarkdale Elementary, Fair Oaks Elementary, and McCall Primary School were named among the top 5% of Title I schools in Georgia for making significant progress in English Language Arts and Mathematics achievement.

The recognition is based on statewide data assessments that track year-over-year growth and continuous improvement. The schools serve diverse student populations and have demonstrated consistent advancement in academic performance.

In a letter congratulating the schools, Deputy Superintendent Shaun Owen from the Georgia Department of Education’s Office of Federal Programs stated, “a reflection of the commitment and hard work of your educators, students, and families.”

This designation highlights the efforts made by students, teachers, and school leaders to improve educational outcomes in their communities.
