Clarkdale Elementary School had 301 Hispanic students enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, an increase of 11.1% over the prior year, reports from the Georgia Department of Education show.
The total number of students at Clarkdale Elementary School reached 753 for 2024-25. Within this group, Hispanic students represented 40% of the population, ranking as the school’s second-largest demographic segment.
The school is part of the Cobb County School District and is managed from its central office in Marietta.
Of the district’s 110 schools, Osborne High School recorded the largest Hispanic student enrollment with 1,809 students in 2024-25.
Georgia public schools enrolled more than 1.7 million students, according to the Georgia Department of Education’s Fiscal Year 2026-1 report. Elementary grades had the highest enrollment—787,206 students (45.9%)—followed by middle schools with 388,733 (22.7%), and high schools with 539,092 (31.4%).
Chronic absenteeism is still a significant problem statewide following the pandemic, with 20.7% of students missing at least 10% of school days during 2024, data from the Georgia Department of Education shows. GaDOE responded by launching a statewide initiative, featuring a real-time attendance dashboard, a public education campaign, and specialized aid for high-need districts to improve attendance rates.
Legislation passed by Georgia lawmakers in 2025 updated attendance laws, now prohibiting expulsions based solely on absenteeism. The updates also impose new reporting rules and allow for alternative diploma programs for students.
By 2026, Georgia averaged a student-to-teacher ratio of about 14:1, which outperforms the national average of 15:1.
