All Cobb County schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to severe weather conditions. The closure includes all extracurricular activities and athletic events.

The decision comes after the National Weather Service and the Governor’s office issued warnings about dangerous conditions expected for Monday morning. Forecasts indicate there could be significant ice accumulation, hazardous driving conditions, high winds, and extremely low temperatures.

District officials stated: “While all schools and district offices are closed, annual operational staff should consult the Reporting to Work on Inclement Weather Days directions from Human Resources or your supervisor. In any case, no team member should attempt to report to work if the route is unsafe.”

Updates regarding school operations will continue to be provided as needed throughout Monday. Families are encouraged to check CTLS Parent, their school’s website, and official social media channels for further information.

“Stay warm and stay safe!” the statement concluded.
