All Cobb County schools, including Pebblebrook High School, will be closed on Monday, January 26th. This closure also includes all extracurricular activities and athletic events.

The decision to close schools follows an update from the National Weather Service and guidance from the Governor’s office, both of which forecast hazardous conditions for Monday morning. Officials predict significant ice accumulation, dangerous driving conditions, high winds, and very low temperatures.

“While all schools and district offices are closed, annual operational staff should consult the Reporting to Work on Inclement Weather Days directions from Human Resources or your supervisor. In any case, no team member should attempt to report to work if the route is unsafe.”

School officials will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates as necessary throughout Monday.

“Stay tuned to CTLS Parent, your school’s website, and our social media feeds for the very latest updates.”

Pebblebrook High School serves students in the Mableton community as part of the Cobb County School District. The school offers advanced performing arts programs through its Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts, as well as a range of athletic opportunities supported by community donations and organizations such as the Atlanta Braves Foundation. Its campus includes multiple gymnasiums and other facilities that support academic and extracurricular activities (official website).

Dana Giles is currently serving as principal at Pebblebrook High School (official website).

“Stay warm and stay safe!”
