Cobb County schools to reopen January 27 after weather closure

All Cobb County schools and offices, including Pebblebrook High School, will reopen on Tuesday, January 27th. Normal operations will resume for all students and staff, including extracurricular activities and athletic events.

Officials monitored weather conditions overnight and consulted with Cobb Emergency Services before making the decision. “After overnight monitoring of our schools and consultation with Cobb Emergency Services, conditions are expected to be safe for travel and school tomorrow.”

The district expressed gratitude to maintenance teams who worked over the weekend. “We are especially thankful to the hard-working operations and maintenance teams who have been working over the weekend to prepare our school buildings for a safe reopening.”

Pebblebrook High School serves students in the Mableton area as part of the Cobb County School District official website. The high school offers advanced performing arts programs through its Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts official website, provides multiple gym facilities—including one added in 1997—and supports various athletic programs that benefit from community support official website.
