East Side Elementary announces date and rules for upcoming science fair

The East Side Elementary School will host its Science Fair on Thursday, February 12. The event is open to students of all ages, but only those in grades 1 through 5 are eligible to move on to the county-level competition.

Students interested in participating must register by Wednesday, February 4. Registration can be completed online using the provided link.

Organizers have stated that for safety reasons, both the Cobb County Elementary Science Fair and the East Side Science Fair do not allow projects involving molds or bacteria. This includes experiments with bacterial swabs, decaying food, or any project cultivating mold or bacteria. Projects with these elements will not be accepted and cannot advance to the county fair.
