The upcoming session of Hendricks Elementary Parents University is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 7:30 to 8:00 AM. This month’s topic will focus on student testing.

According to the school, students are currently taking a range of tests that help teachers monitor academic progress and identify areas where additional instruction may be needed. The goal is for all students to complete their grade-level studies and be ready for advancement in the next academic year.

“February’s topic is about testing. At this point in our school year, students take various tests to help teachers track progress or identify areas that need more instruction for students at all levels. We want all students to complete all studies for their grade level and be well prepared to move on to the next grade level next fall,” the school stated.

The Georgia Milestones assessment will be administered to all students in Georgia; however, it is not the only test given before the end of the school year. The session aims to inform parents about upcoming end-of-grade assessments and provide guidance on supporting children with test-taking strategies and managing any anxiety related to testing.

“The Georgia Milestones is an assessment of learning that is given to all students in Georgia, yet it is not the only assessment given before the end of our school year. Please join us for the February session of our Parents University to learn more about the upcoming end-of-grade assessments as well as what you can do as a parent to help with test-taking strategies or relieving anxiety some students experience during testing,” according to information provided by Hendricks Elementary.

Each Parent University meeting lasts 30 minutes and takes place at the start of the day when most students arrive. The school encourages parents to attend these sessions as a way to begin their day while staying informed about their children’s education.

“The Hendricks Parent University sessions are only 30 minutes long and are at the beginning of the day around the time students arrive – a great way to start your day! Please make plans to join us!” Hendricks Elementary added.

Parents interested in attending can RSVP using a QR code provided on an informational flyer or download a copy directly from the school’s communication materials.
