There were 45 multiracial students enrolled at Mableton Elementary School during the 2024-25 school year, reflecting a 2.2% decrease from the prior year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

The school reported a total enrollment of 912 students for 2024-25. Multiracial students represented 5% of the population, making them the second-smallest group in the student body.

Mableton Elementary School operates within Cobb County School District, which is based in Marietta.

Campbell High School had the district’s highest multiracial student count, enrolling 149 students in the 2024-25 school year out of the 110 schools in Cobb County School District.

More than 1.7 million students attended Georgia public schools, based on the Fiscal Year 2026-1 report from the Georgia Department of Education. The majority attended elementary grades, with 787,206 students (45.9%), followed by 388,733 in middle school (22.7%) and 539,092 in high school (31.4%).

Chronic absenteeism persists as a significant challenge in Georgia since the pandemic, with 20.7% of students missing 10% or more school days in 2024, according to the Georgia Department of Education. The statewide initiative from GaDOE includes a real-time attendance dashboard, public awareness campaigns, and targeted assistance for districts most affected, aimed at increasing daily attendance.

In 2025, Georgia legislators revised attendance law to prevent expulsions based solely on absenteeism. The update also introduced new reporting measures and supports alternative diploma pathways for students.

As of 2026, Georgia’s average student-to-teacher ratio was about 14:1, which is lower than the national figure of 15:1.
