The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art presents two new exhibitions opening April 1, 2023. A group exhibition of textile and fiber art entitled Entwined & Quilting the Pandemic: A Community Quilt Project.

Entwined is an exhibition of fifteen contemporary artists displays techniques in sewing, weaving, felting, quilting, dyeing, draping, and more.  The range of the artists’ backgrounds and methods will inform how craft and fine art convene in ways that play a part in a greater conversation of history, heritage, and identity.

Quilting the Pandemic: A Community Quilt Project – Everyone was undeniably touched by the COVID-19 pandemic in some way. As such, the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art partnered with Peggy Beaman of Roswell Quilts, the William Root House, and the Marietta History Center to collect stories, memories, feelings, and moments in time from the start of the pandemic until today by way of handmade quilt squares.

Visit www.mariettacobbartmuseum.org/exhibitions/ for more information on the exhibitions.
