Pickett’s Mill Elementary School announced on Feb. 27 that it will celebrate Read Across Cobb Day on March 4, inviting students to dress as their favorite book characters.

The event aims to encourage a love of reading among students and foster creativity throughout the school community.

According to the announcement, students are encouraged to participate by bringing stories and imagination to life through their costumes. The school said, “Let’s bring our love of reading to life and fill the school with stories, imagination, and creativity!”

Read Across Cobb Day is part of ongoing efforts at Pickett’s Mill Elementary School to promote literacy and engage students in fun educational activities.

The school looks forward to seeing a variety of book characters represented as students join together in this celebration of reading.
