Seven football teams from Cobb County have qualified for the postseason, representing the area across three classifications.

In Class 4A, Kell High School stands as the only representative from Cobb County. The team, ranked fifth in its classification, secured a region title that grants home-field advantage for at least the first two rounds. Kell will host Hampton in the opening round scheduled for November 14.

Sprayberry High School’s Yellow Jackets earned a playoff spot in Class 5A after finishing as runner-up in Region 6 and are ranked tenth statewide. They will begin their playoff run at home against Lee County, facing an opponent that eliminated them in last season’s quarterfinals.

Class 6A includes five Cobb County teams. McEachern High School and North Cobb High School both won their regions—Region 3 and Region 5 respectively—earning home-field advantage through at least two rounds. McEachern finished the regular season undefeated with a record of 10–0, scoring 449 points while conceding just 104. The Indians will host Walton High School in a rematch of their season opener.

North Cobb is region champion for the second consecutive year and hosts Paulding County in the first round. Their defense allowed only 113 points this season, the fewest in Region 5.

The Harrison Hoyas finished second in Region 3 and will play Marietta at Cobleigh Stadium. Harrison enters the playoffs with a record of nine wins and one loss—their only defeat coming against McEachern—and is currently on a four-game winning streak.

Hillgrove High School travels to face North Paulding after ending their regular season with two losses but bringing experience from last year’s quarterfinal appearance. Hillgrove has an overall record of eight wins and two losses this year.

Walton Raiders seek to avenge an earlier loss to McEachern when they meet again in what will be the only all-Cobb matchup during the opening round at Cantrell Stadium.

“With seven teams in the postseason—nearly half of Cobb’s football programs—the county once again proves its talent on the gridiron. All of the games are close enough for Cobb football fans to make an impact on their favorite teams. Supporters are encouraged to make plans to attend one of these exciting playoff games on Friday, November 14! Let’s go, Cobb!” said organizers.
