The Shallowford Falls Elementary School has announced the opening of its online book fair. Purchases made through the online store offer a free shipping option on many items, and the school’s library will receive between 25% and 30% of each sale. The funds raised are intended not only to expand the library’s collection but also to help launch a new Birthday Book program.

According to the announcement, the library plans to purchase a customized book vending machine with proceeds from the fair. This machine will be placed in the library, allowing every student to receive a book on their birthday. Additionally, students who log their reading minutes in Beanstack will continue to be rewarded.

“We think it will be a fun way to promote reading for all our foxes!” stated organizers.

The in-person portion of the book fair is scheduled for March 13-20. During this period, Shallowford Falls Elementary School will host “Donuts with Grownups,” an event designed for students to share their interest in reading with family and friends. Further details and scheduling information for this event are expected soon.

Family Night is also planned during the fair, coinciding with a fourth-grade musical performance on Tuesday, March 17.
