Sprayberry High School has shared information about food assistance resources for individuals facing financial hardship. The school’s social worker compiled a list of options for those experiencing either short-term or long-term difficulties. Those who need additional help after using these resources are encouraged to contact Maggy Hoskins by email at margaret.hoskins@cobbk12.org or by phone at 770-656-5048.

To locate nearby food pantries, individuals can text “FINDFOOD” or “COMIDA” to 888.976.2322 and receive a list based on their zip code. Additionally, the Atlanta Community Food Bank provides an online map to search for food banks across Georgia at https://www.acfb.org/get-help/food-map/.

One of the local support networks mentioned is Cobb Moms Helping Cobb, which connects families and non-profit agencies with those in need within Cobb County. More information about requesting assistance from this group is available at www.cobbmomshelpingcobb.org/need-assistance.

MUST Ministries also offers monthly food pantry distributions at Sprayberry High School. The next event will take place on November 10th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., accessible through the lower left parking lot off Sandy Plains Road. Participants are required to complete a one-time registration at https://www.tfaforms.com/4986870 before receiving aid.
