CITY OF MARIETTA: Marietta Agrees to Sell Property to Drafty Dane Park & Pint for Creation of Dog Park & Bar

Business discussion

City of Marietta issued the following announcement on May 20.

On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, City Council agreed to sell the property located at 942 Roswell Street for the development of a dog park, coffee shop and bar concept called the Drafty Dane Park & Pint. This project is being developed by Marietta residents and dog-lovers, Brennen and Emily Matthews.

The one-acre parcel will be the home of a state-of-the-art, off-leash dog park complete with artificial turf, a water feature, and shaded seating areas.  Human visitors can enjoy both locally sourced coffee and alcoholic beverages at the 3,000 square foot bar and retail space. This venture is the first of its kind in Cobb County and will be a unique draw for canines and their companions across the region.

Drafty Dane Park & Pint will operate on a membership model and will feature live music, events, and food trucks! The City of Marietta is excited to welcome this concept and its transformative impact.
