Cobb Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 20.
The Cobb Chamber will welcome Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, Director of Georgia Bureau of Investigation Vic Reynolds, and Partner at Freeman Mathis & Gary, John Ghose, at its August Marquee Monday luncheon, to share their expertise on the realistic threat of cyber attacks for businesses. The August Marquee Monday is on August 9, 2021 at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre, presented by Superior Plumbing.
One of the biggest lessons from the recent attack on the Colonial Pipeline is that every business – large and small – is vulnerable to cyber threats, extortions, and attacks. As three of Georgia’s leading authorities on cybersecurity, the panel will cover:
- Legal ramifications and requirements for a business if it is attacked
- Attacks that are currently happening in the state
- Steps your business should take if attacked
- How to protect your business from falling under attack- cybersecurity insurance
