The talent in the Young family seems endless: Atlanta Braves first-base coach Eric Young Sr. has a Word Series win under his belt, and now his son Dallas Young has excelled in another route with acting.

Dallas Young, 15, plays Kenny Payne as of the fourth season of "Cobra Kai," which is the small-screen sequel to the popular '80s movie "The Karate Kid," MLB.com reported. This is nothing new for Dallas Young, however. He has also starred in "Cousins for Life" on Nickelodeon, as well as appeared in "9-1-1," "Shameless" and "The Fosters."

"As a father, I love the fact he's doing something he genuinely loves and has a passion for," Eric Young Sr. told MLB.com. "He's not doing it just for the money. He's doing it because he loves it and he wants to be the best. I'll always remember the one goal he had. He said, 'Daddy, one day we're going to walk the red carpet together.'"

Eric Young Sr. played for 15 years in the Major Leagues where he was a speed threat on the base paths, amassing 465 stolen bases, as well as a solid .283 batting average, Baseball Reference reported. He led the league in stolen bases in 1996 and had a career high .324 batting average and an All-Star nod while playing for the Colorado Rockies.

Baseball runs in the family, as his son Eric Young Jr. also had a successful career as a base-stealing threat over his 10-year career, leading the league with 46 stolen bases in 2013, Baseball Reference reported.

Eric Young Sr. said that Dallas Young could actually be the best ballplayer in the family, but he is happy his son is going his own direction with acting. With "Cobra Kai" being one of the top-rated and viewed Netflix shows, this could be just the beginning for Dallas Young.
