City of Smyrna issued the following announcement on May 27.
We are happy to announce that Mayor Pro-Tem /Councilmember for Ward 6, Tim Gould has been selected for the 2023 Class of Leadership Cobb! Congratulations! Leadership Cobb, a program of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, develops leadership skills and knowledge through programs and retreats. Participants are introduced to a variety of viewpoints that illustrate the array of economic, political, educational and social factors at work in Cobb County. Participants attend lectures and programs over the course of a year. Sessions combine lectures and dialogue among speakers as well as audience interaction with leaders in all facets of the community. Pictured with him (far right and far left) are Deputy Fire Chief Brian Marcos and Deputy Police Chief Robert Harvey – two of a number of City of Smyrna staff and leadership who have graduated from the program.
