The Marietta History Center is excited to host Mr. Michael Ruskin for a lecture and book signing, on Saturday, March 11th at 2pm. Hear the story of the late David and Dora Ruskin, Michael’s parents, who were Holocaust survivors from Lithuania. Mr. Ruskin’s mission is to keep his parents' legacy alive by delivering a story that was left untold...until now.

As the last surviving member of his family, Mr. Ruskin recently wrote a book entitled The Vow: A Love Story and the Holocaust. In Mr. Ruskin’s words this is “a book which reveals God's presence through the lives of others and leaves us an inspiring message for humanity. This is their story. An extraordinary journey which takes you from the ashes of the Holocaust to their deliverance to America.” Come and hear, Mr. Ruskin talk about his parents and their remarkable story. Mr. Ruskin will be available after his talk to sell and sign his book.

At the Marietta History Center our mission is to ignite curiosity in Marietta’s history by connecting people through compelling stories and engaging experiences. Current Temporary Exhibits include, a traveling exhibit from KSU’s Museum of History and Holocaust Education, “Never Forgotten: An Introduction to the Holocaust” & “Marietta 1899: Color Captured in Black & White” which was produced in house at the Marietta History Center.
