With the 2024 Draft just over a week away, anticipation is building as teams finalize their strategies. Jim Callis and I will each release one more mock draft before making our final projections of the top 39 picks late Saturday night. This will allow everyone to digest it on Sunday morning ahead of the Draft festivities in Texas at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT).

Top prospects include:

1. Travis Bazzana

2. Charlie Condon

3. Jac Caglianone

4. JJ Wetherholt

5. Hagen Smith

Despite gathering substantial intel on team preferences, some uncertainties remain, particularly around financial negotiations and medical reports.

The Day 1 preview show will begin at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT), followed by the Draft on MLB Network and ESPN, also available on MLB.TV, MLB.com, and in the MLB App.

Here are some key projections:

1. **Guardians: Travis Bazzana**, 2B, Oregon State - "Bazzana received 15 of the 20 votes," reflecting strong support among scouting directors.

2. **Reds: Charlie Condon**, OF/3B, Georgia - The debate continues between Condon and Florida’s Jac Caglianone.

3. **Rockies: Jac Caglianone**, 1B/LHP, Florida - The Rockies might consider cutting a deal with a mid-first-round college hitter like Oklahoma State’s Carson Benge.

4. **A's: Braden Montgomery**, OF, Texas A&M - With Bazzana off the board in this scenario, Montgomery becomes a viable option.

5. **White Sox: JJ Wetherholt**, SS/2B, West Virginia - If not selected first overall, Wetherholt could land here.

Additional notable selections include:

- **Royals** selecting Nick Kurtz for his power potential.

- **Cardinals** favoring Hagen Smith among college arms.

- **Angels** potentially choosing Chase Burns for his frontline starter potential.

Teams continue to weigh their options between high school talents and college players as they approach decision time.
