The Cobb Schools community gathered at Dogwood Golf Club for the annual Swinging for a Cause Golf Tournament, organized by the Cobb Schools Foundation. The event aimed to raise funds to support student success in Cobb County.

Participants included school leaders, members of the Cobb Schools Foundation, and representatives from local businesses. They came together for a day of golf and conversation, united by their shared goal of aiding students.

Felicia Wagner, Executive Director of the Cobb Schools Foundation, expressed gratitude towards those involved: “Our sponsors and golfers play a huge role in empowering our students,” she said. “This tournament reflects the power of community collaboration to give students a brighter future.”

The event successfully raised over $50,000. These funds will be allocated to provide two seniors from each high school with a $1,000 scholarship. Additionally, perseverance awards will be given to students who have demonstrated determination while maintaining academic achievement.
