CHS students and families prepare for graduation and upcoming events

Families of Campbell High School students are reminded to mark an important date on their calendars. On Friday, May 23, at 7 PM, the Commencement Ceremony for CHS graduates and families will be held at the KSU Convocation Center.

Principal John Armour extended well wishes to Spartan families for Easter weekend. He also highlighted two articles about the Campbell football program and the Campbell Advanced Placement Scholars (CAPS) Program available on Smyrna Vinings magazine’s website.

The school will conduct End of Course Bootcamps led by Algebra I and Biology teachers in preparation for the upcoming End of Course Tests. Instructions for students taking Advanced Placement (AP) tests were also detailed, including ensuring laptops have Windows 11 installed and the procedure to follow if there's an issue.

The Student Behavior Contract Letter has been disseminated and reviewed with all students and their parents. Principal Armour notes the Early Checkout Time has been adjusted to 2:45 PM.

In the Counseling Corner, feedback is encouraged from parents, family members, and the community to enhance student programs. A survey link has been provided for this purpose.

College and Career Counselors, Ms. Young and Ms. Diaz-Brown, continue to engage with students, offering guidance from their respective offices.

The Campbell High School PTSA seeks volunteers and donations for Staff Appreciation Week on May 5-9. A sign-up link has been shared for those interested in contributing.

Three students, Pedro Y Suarez Davila, Brayton Newton, and Isaiah Moyet, were honored at the Mayor's Education Awards. Meanwhile, tutoring schedules are available for various subjects.

Students interested in joining the school marching band are invited to attend a parent meeting on May 15. Information about the CCSD HS Summer School Credit Recovery Program was also shared, highlighting opportunities for credit recovery available at no cost.

Details for upcoming IB exams and related ceremonies were provided. The IB Medal Ceremony will take place on May 17. Parents of juniors must complete a permission form for a field trip on April 25.

CHS will hold a College Signing Day Ceremony for seniors on May 2. Seniors are reminded to submit their Community Service hours by April 25, with cords available for purchase post-approval.

Finally, the PTSA invites seniors, families, and friends to the Baccalaureate Ceremony on May 20. Cap & Gown delivery information has been shared, and seniors should check their student portal for Commencement Ceremony ticket requests.
