Griffin Middle School, Murdock Elementary School, and Palmer Middle School have been named among America’s Healthiest Schools for 2025 by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. These three Cobb County schools are among only nine in Georgia to receive this distinction, with Cobb Schools having more recognized schools than any other district in the state.

The recognition is based on factors such as student nutrition, the learning environment, staff well-being, health education, and engagement with families and the community.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, students, and families to create an environment where every child can thrive physically, emotionally, and academically,” said Dr. Adam Mullis, Physical Education Teacher at Griffin Middle School.

“We believe healthy students are better learners,” Mullis added.

The full list of recognized schools nationwide is available through the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s website.
