Vaughan Elementary School in Powder Springs, Georgia, has announced several events and activities for students and families in February 2026. The school is located at 5950 Nichols Road and focuses on structured daily schedules to promote punctuality and timely dismissal, according to its official website.
The school expressed appreciation for staff members who assist with student drop-off each morning. Parents were also thanked for helping their children be ready during the car rider line.
National School Counseling Appreciation Week was recognized with a message of thanks: “Thank you Ms. Pickles and Ms. Pope for all of your work with our students! We appreciate you!”
Rally Week is scheduled from February 2 to 6, encouraging students to bring donations in support of the event. Donations can also be made online or via Venmo, with instructions provided to credit each child’s class. The top fundraising classes will receive a pizza party as an incentive. Variety Shows are set for Thursday and Friday nights at 6:00 pm, with a $2 entry fee per person.
Families are invited to contribute time or snacks during Rally Week by signing up through an online form.
Student celebrations continue throughout the month. The school congratulated PBIS Raffle Winners for demonstrating accountability: “These amazing Rockets showed accountability and earned their Mission: Success stickers! Your positive choices are lighting the way — keep soaring, keep shining, and keep showing what it means to be a Vaughan Rocket!” Birthday wishes were extended to students celebrating this week.
The Vaughan Spirit Wear Winner was acknowledged along with gratitude toward PTSA for donating a chicken biscuit coupon. Bus Behavior Superstars were also recognized for displaying respect, responsibility, and safety while riding the bus.
The library will host Literati’s ‘Treasured Tales’ Bookfair from February 9 to 13, open daily except Friday when it closes at noon. Online shopping is available as well, supporting the school library through purchases.
This month’s Family STEM Challenge involves reading “Mae Among the Stars” and designing an astronaut training course at home using household items. Students who submit plans will receive candy as recognition of their effort.
PTSA announced Spring Goodies with Grownups on February 10 (last names A–L) and February 11 (last names M–Z), offering donuts and time together before visiting the book fair.
Spring Fling is planned for March 20 from 6–8 PM featuring food trucks, games, inflatables, and music. Presale tickets are available until March 13; ticket prices vary based on number of students attending while ages four and under enter free.
