Atlanta Hard Cider Co. recently opened a new production facility and tasting room in Marietta with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Mayor Steve Tumlin and the City Council participated in the Oct. 21 ceremony at 1010 Roswell St. NE.

"This formerly city-owned property was actively marketed by Marietta as a redevelopment opportunity," the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce said in a release. "The city has been improving the Roswell Street Corridor for years with new streetscape beautification projects and building design standards in accordance with the city’s vision statement.

"The new Atlanta Hard Cider site represents another success in the renaissance of Roswell Street and will be a tourist and local visitor draw into the heart of our community."

Atlanta Hard Cider was named the top selling craft cider in Georgia this year, according to the release.

“With 12-plus ciders on tap and our signature vodka distilled from our cider, stop in to enjoy a craft cocktail, cider tasting flights, pints and 32-oz growlers fills,” Atlanta Hard Cider Co. said in a post on their website.

The city sold the property to Atlanta Hard Cider Co. in 2019 for $547,000, the release said. In addition to Atlanta Hard Cider's 6,000-square-foot building, a second phase of development for a larger facility is planned for 994 Roswell St., according to the release.
