INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF SMYRNA: Remote Learning Starting January 5th, 2022

Online

International Academy of Smyrna issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.

With the increase in COVID-19 transmission rates, the International Academy of Smyrna will begin the second semester asynchronously. Scholars will be expected to engage in learning remotely from Wednesday, January 5, 2022, until Friday, January 7, 2022. Teachers will post assignments to Google Classroom no later than 8:00 am each morning. We will provide families with support in accessing Google Classroom, if needed, during the days that we are out of school.  An email will be sent with instructions.

Employees will work remotely from Monday, January 3 to Friday, January 7, 2022. Staff and Scholars will report to work and school in a face-to-face environment on Monday, January 10, 2022. We will continue to monitor community transmission rates while working to ensure the safety of all our Scholars and staff. Please stay safe and continue to notify us if your Scholar has COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or has been around someone that has contracted COVID-19 at COVIDresponse@iasmyrna.org. The safety and well-being of our school community is a top priority and your understanding of this decision is appreciated.
