Cobb Schools issued the following announcement on Apr. 25.

For the past four years, Dickerson Middle School students have raised more than $40,00 to support the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House near Scottish Rite.

The Dickerson community raised $10,362.44 to support the area charity, thanks to school spirit days held during the school year. That is enough donations to sponsor two rooms at the Ronald McDonald House for an entire year!

Dickerson’s Pay It Forward Club supports the Ronald McDonald House throughout the school year with such events as the Pop Tab Drive, stock shelves events, and travel-sized toiletry drive.

The Ronald McDonald House is not the only place where Dickerson students are making an impact. The Dickerson students in the Pay It Forward Club also sponsor an annual book drive. This school year, the Cobb students collected more than 1,000 books to replenish the libraries of two schools in Tennessee that were destroyed by floods.
