Allatoona High School issued the following announcement on May 4.
The time has come for a new Marvel film to be released in theaters with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It has been two years since Marvel fans have heard the announcement of this movie, and it is finally happening. Benedict Cumberbatch is coming back to play Doctor Strange along with Elizabeth Olsen playing The Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong playing Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor back to play Baron Mordo after almost five years. This film will also be directed by none other than Sam Raimi, the director responsible for the original Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies. It is the first Marvel film to truly take a deep dive into the Multiverse of Madness and will be unveiling new characters and organizations including America Chavez, played by Xochitl Gomez, The Illuminati, which is an organization of superheroes that oversee parts of the multiverse. The Illuminati includes Captain America, Mr. Fantastic, Charles Xavier, Iron Man, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans. America Chavez will be the first Latina Superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is big for Hispanic representation.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will go to unexpected places never seen in the MCU and possibly reprise characters seen in other Marvel properties such as Fox’s X-Men and Deadpool, ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Runaways. The Story of Doctor Strange: MOM will follow Stephen Strange tracking down Wanda Maximoff, The Scarlet Witch, to intervene with her grieving of her loved ones. Strange will also find new allies to face a mysterious new enemy. Who will it be? You won’t know until you watch it in theaters this Friday, May 6th, in all theaters near you.
