November Marquee Monday to Welcome President of Kennesaw State University

The Cobb Chamber’s Marquee Monday event series continues Nov. 14 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre with Dr. Kathy Schwaig, President of Kennesaw State University. Dr. Schwaig will share her insights into the state of education in her first address to the Cobb business community.

Dr. Schwaig is the sixth president of Kennesaw State and under her leadership the university launched a comprehensive student success initiative, established new graduate degrees for in-demand fields, formalized an enrollment growth strategy, and invested in the university’s research infrastructure. Dr. Schwaig has prioritized cultivating community and relaunched a business incubator for campus and community innovators, created plans centered on inclusion, and launched an engagement plan for first-year students.

Registration is now open through November 9 for the November Marquee Monday. Tickets are $35 for Cobb Chamber members and $40 for non-members. Attendees may register for the event at https://bit.ly/3MaEdSQ. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the program begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. Please note that for November, Marquee Monday is traveling to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. In December, the event returns to the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre.

The Marquee Monday Series is presented by Superior Plumbing. The November Marquee Monday is sponsored by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Town Center Community Improvement District, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, and Next Page Event Services.
