Marietta police are seeking help from the public in finding who broke into a popular bar shop on one of their biggest sale days of the year and made off with the cash register.

In a recent report by FOX 5 Atlanta, Lauren Bolden—who owns the Pie Bar with her husband—said the break-in happened Dec. 23, a day when hundreds come in to pick up pies.

"We entered the store and saw that our register has been taken full of cash as well as the safe. Luckily, no pies had been taken, so we were lucky in that way," Bolden told FOX 5 Atlanta.

While Bolden said she believes the thieves were no amateurs and that her establishment was just one of several in the area that was targeted, she said they brought a glass-shattering device to get into the front door.

"They knew what they were doing, and they came prepared," Bolden added.

As the investigation continues, Bolden said business owners in Marietta Square are looking out for one another, adding "We are really excited about be being a part of the Marietta Square and we are here because the community here pulls together and is super strong."

Several businesses have already vowed to share proceeds with the Pie Bar and authorities are asking anyone with information about the burglary to immediately call the Marietta Police Department.
