ArtsBridge Foundation announces 2024-2025 education programs

ATLANTA – July 25, 2024—ArtsBridge Foundation has opened registration for Pre-K-12 schools across Georgia to participate in the 2024-2025 Program Season, which includes field trips and professional development workshops. Each student attending an ArtsBridge Field Trip will receive a nutritious Snack Pack to support their academic journey and combat food insecurity.

The first field trip of the season is Synchronicity Theatre’s production of Caldecott award-winning author John Steptoe’s "Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters: An African Tale" on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, for grades K-12.

“Providing first-hand educational experiences such as the field trips is essential to connecting students with the arts and enhancing their understanding of fine arts outside the classroom,” said Elizabeth Lenhart, director of arts education for ArtsBridge Foundation.

For professional development, ArtsBridge Foundation will host the Theatre: Inside-n-Out workshop on Aug. 27, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The series targets high school students and educators interested in technical and theatrical skills like light and sound. It will take place at the John A. Williams Theatre stage of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Registration costs $125, with group pricing at $100 (five to nine students) or $75 (over ten students). Scholarships are available for Title I schools and students.
