Life University celebrates the achievement of alumna Alexandria “Spiff” Sedrick, whose performance led Team USA to its first-ever medal in Women’s Rugby at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

In a bronze-medal match against Australia, Sedrick, a former Life U Women’s Rugby player, showcased her skill and determination. With Team USA trailing in the final moments of the match, Sedrick scored the game-tying try and then successfully executed the conversion kick to secure victory. This accomplishment marked a historic milestone for Team USA.

“Alexandria ‘Spiff’ Sedrick embodies the spirit and relentlessness that we strive to instill in all our students at Life University,” said Life University President Dr. Rob Scott. “Her outstanding achievement at the Olympic Games is a testament to her hard work, determination, and the support of our exceptional athletic and academic programs. We are immensely proud of her and the historic success she has brought to Team USA.”

Sedrick earned her B.S. in Biopsychology from Life University in 2020. Her time at Life U was distinguished by both athletic performance and academic commitment.

Life University extends congratulations to Alexandria “Spiff” Sedrick and Team USA for their remarkable achievement. As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, Sedrick’s success serves as an inspiration to students, alumni, and the entire community.
