Milford Elementary School recently hosted a unique event as part of Red Ribbon Week, an annual drug-use prevention campaign. Students and staff gathered outside to witness a helicopter landing by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on the school's back field.

The helicopter visit offered students an educational experience, allowing them to learn about the dangers of drugs while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The event also provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with DEA agents, asking questions about their careers and experiences as pilots.

Principal Dr. Tiffany Jones highlighted the significance of the event: "Students learned about the critical role the DEA plays in keeping our community safe and the importance of being drug-free." She noted that witnessing the helicopter landing brought excitement and valuable insights to students. One student expressed surprise at discovering that being a DEA helicopter pilot was a real job.

Red Ribbon Week continues annually, aiming to inspire young people to maintain a drug-free life.
