Benjamin Gough has been recognized as the Artist of the Week, an achievement celebrated by his peers and mentors. Mr. Gurnow praised Gough's contributions, stating, "Ben’s musical excellence is demonstrated throughout the band program. From his solo in the marching band to his solos in jazz band, Ben raises the bar for the band program. We are very lucky to have Ben’s musical talents as part of the Allatoona Band program."

Gough has been involved with the band since sixth grade and advises younger students interested in joining to "have community." He emphasizes the importance of building relationships while participating in a band.
