The Cobb County School District's Communications Department has received significant recognition for its work, earning numerous awards from both state and international organizations. The Georgia School Public Relations Association (GSPRA) announced in October 2024 that the department secured 11 gold awards, five silver awards, and one bronze award, surpassing other school districts in Georgia.

Among these accolades, two entries won "Best in Category" honors for writing and photography. Beyond state-level success, the department also achieved international acclaim with three MarCom Platinum Awards. This places them alongside renowned entities such as The Walt Disney Company, IBM, and Cornell University.

In addition to platinum awards, the Cobb Communications team received six MarCom Gold Awards. These recent recognitions add to their earlier achievements from the National School Public Relations Society this year.

Over the last ten years, the team has amassed nine Platinum Awards, 13 national Excellence Awards, and 48 Gold Awards. Their consistent excellence underscores their commitment to quality communication within educational settings.
