Cobb Schools’ Athlete of the Week program continues to recognize outstanding student-athletes, supported by BSN Sports. This week's honorees are Mia DeMartino from Allatoona and Isaiah Tucker from Kennesaw Mountain.

Mia DeMartino excels in One-Act performances for the Bucs. She has been performing since sixth grade and is now a junior at Allatoona, where she has become a leader in the Drama and Chorus Department. Last month, she won 4A Best Actress at the State One Act competition. Her positive attitude extends beyond her performances; she maintains a 3.5 GPA while participating in various extracurricular activities.

Drama Coach Traci Woody-Kemp praised Mia: "She is one of the most talented performers we have had come through our department and never takes it for granted." Chris Murray, Allatoona Athletic Director, added, "She is always a bright light every time she steps on stage."

Isaiah Tucker, also a junior at Kennesaw Mountain, recently broke his school's record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.27 seconds during the Indian Invitational. He previously held another school record in the 100 backstroke and has claimed three state titles with his club team from Douglas County Swimming.

Mustang Swim Coach David Reason commended Isaiah: "Isaiah is our best swimmer, but more importantly, he is a terrific teammate and loves being part of the team." Coach Reason was also recognized as GHSA/NFHS Boys Swim Coach of the Year for 2023-2024.

The Cobb Schools’ Athlete of the Week program highlights student-athletes' achievements both in their sports and academics.
