Due to the forecast of ice and snow, Cobb schools and offices will be closed on Friday, January 10th. This decision aims to protect students and staff from potentially dangerous road conditions. The closure affects all students and staff, and it extends to extracurricular activities, including sports scheduled for both Friday, January 10th, and Saturday, January 11th.

The school district acknowledges that unexpected schedule changes can pose challenges for families. "We know unexpected schedule changes can be challenging for families, and we appreciate your support from home as the safety of more than 105,000 students guides our decisions," stated the announcement.

For those interested in understanding the factors involved in making winter weather-related decisions, a podcast is available for further information.

"Stay safe and stay warm!" concluded the message from Cobb schools.
