Campbell High School has announced several important dates and events for the beginning of the 2024-25 school year. Among these is the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 20, followed by an Open House scheduled for January 23 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

The school is also organizing hybrid parent meetings focusing on elective registration. Spanish-speaking parents are invited on January 22, while all parents can attend on January 24.

Principal's message emphasizes safety, reminding families that Powder Springs Street is the designated drop-off and pick-up area for students. "Please do not drop off or pick students up from Ward Street or the Tiger Lot," it states.

Spring semester schedules became available in ParentVue and StudentVue on January 3. Students with grades between 60-69 in core classes are eligible for a course extension starting January 7, as detailed in Campbell News.

Counseling services continue to engage with families through feedback surveys to improve student programs. The College and Career Center remains active with counselors Ms. Young and Ms. Diaz-Brown working closely with students.

The PTSA meeting is set for January 15 at 6:30 PM via Zoom, inviting all to participate in upcoming spring events.

For those needing to make up final exams, procedures have been outlined by Coach Shaner and Mr. Whatley, including contacting teachers within the first ten days of Semester Two.

In other news, Mireya Stephenson, a senior at Campbell IB and soccer player, has signed up to play soccer at the University of Arizona.

Seniors are reminded about deadlines for their Extended Essay submissions due by January 6 and scheduling their Viva Voce meetings before month's end.

The school encourages juniors adjusting to IB-style content to utilize tutoring sessions and study groups effectively.

Advisement sessions will be conducted in-person for students while parents join virtually through FaceTime or Teams starting February for rising juniors and sophomores.

Finally, seniors are advised to purchase their cap & gown using a QR code provided in a Senior Flyer for the best price of the year.
