Campbell High School announces key dates and updates for early-2025

Campbell High School has announced several important dates and updates for the week of January 12, 2025. The observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be on Monday, January 20. An Open House is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

Hybrid Parent Meetings focusing on elective registration are set for Wednesday, January 22, for Spanish-speaking parents and Friday, January 24, for all parents. The commencement ceremony for Campbell High School graduates and their families will take place on Friday, May 23, at KSU.

Principal's message highlighted ongoing schedule change requests and reminded that no changes would be allowed after January 17. Elective registration for rising grades will occur from February 10 to February 14.

The school emphasized safety by designating Powder Springs Street as the sole drop-off and pick-up area. Students eligible for course extension due to low grades in core classes began sessions on January 7.

Feedback from parents is encouraged through a survey link provided by the Counseling Corner. College and Career Counselors Ms. Young and Ms. Diaz-Brown continue their support roles at the school.

The PTSA Spring Kickoff Meeting is planned for Wednesday, January 15 at 6:30 PM via Zoom. They seek volunteers and donations for upcoming events like the staff breakfast on January 24.

Course extension details were provided with mandatory attendance until completion by January 15. Make-up final exam protocols require students to inform teachers about absences within the first ten days of Semester Two.

The Cobb Board of Education has adjusted policy IHAA-R regarding final exams' weight in grading non-EOC-high-school courses.

Prom preparations are underway with CAPS Campaign Week starting January 27. IB News included reminders about balancing class schedules based on placement tests and senior tasks related to Extended Essays.

Senior families were informed about commencement ticket requests due by February 28, with questions directed to Dr. Dorrough.
