Forbes has once again acknowledged the Cobb County School District (CCSD) as one of America's best large employers. This recognition adds to Cobb Schools' established reputation as one of Georgia's Best Employers, a title the district has held for six consecutive years.
Cobb's ranking surpasses notable national employers such as The Walt Disney Company, Comcast, PepsiCo, Amazon, the State of Tennessee, and MetLife. Among Georgia-based organizations, Cobb Schools ranks higher than Chick-fil-A, Cox Enterprises, Georgia-Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and United Parcel Service (UPS).
Cobb Schools is one of only two school districts in Georgia to be included on the list and is among five school districts nationwide to receive this honor. This consistent acknowledgment underscores Cobb's dedication to its educators, staff, and students.
While many school systems face challenges with teacher recruitment and retention, Cobb Schools maintains a strong team of educators who return annually. This reflects Cobb's ongoing investment in its employees.
The district's innovative program "Georgia’s BEST" (Building Educator Success Together) significantly contributes to attracting and retaining top educators. Launched in collaboration with the University of West Georgia, it offers educators opportunities to pursue advanced degrees without tuition costs.
As of February 2024, "Georgia’s BEST" marked its first anniversary with enrollment open for a new cohort eager to advance their careers without financial obstacles. The program demonstrates Cobb Schools' commitment to professional development by providing support and resources necessary for educators' success.
On March 22, 2025, Cobb County School District will host a job fair at 755 Battery Ave SE in Atlanta from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Attendees can connect with district representatives and learn about available roles while gaining insight into Cobb’s dedication to student success and employee growth.
