Joe Turner's Come and Gone, a play by August Wilson, will be performed at the Black Box Theatre. The shows are scheduled for March 13th, 14th, and 15th at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased on GoFan for $7.

The play follows Herald Loomis as he searches for his wife Martha in a Pittsburgh boarding house in 1911. Loomis arrives with his daughter Zonia and seeks help from Selig, a "people finder." Throughout the story, Loomis confronts his past experiences of being illegally enslaved by Joe Turner and explores themes of identity and spirituality with guidance from Bynum Walker, an enigmatic conjure man.

Educators are encouraged to consider offering extra credit to students who attend this production.
