Cobb County School District is organizing a College Fair to assist students in preparing for their postsecondary education. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at Hillgrove High School. Students and families attending will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from over 50 universities, explore academic programs, learn about admissions requirements, and ask questions regarding their educational options after high school.
The College Fair will be held at Hillgrove High School located at 4165 Luther Ward Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127. The schedule includes an overview of the U.S. college application process from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM followed by the College Fair from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Additional informational sessions will cover topics such as financial aid navigation, crafting a personal statement for college essays, insights from alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and information on Georgia’s Hope & Zell Grant programs that support students in the Technical College System of Georgia.
"Cobb Schools has a strong tradition of preparing students for success beyond high school," said a district representative. This event is one way the district ensures that students are ready for their next journey.
Students interested in attending are encouraged to register by scanning the QR code on the flyer or visiting ScholarTrek/Cobb. "The journey to college and career success starts here—see you at the College Fair on March 25!" reads an announcement promoting the event.
