Cobb Schools' Athlete of the Week program spotlights two standout student-athletes, one from Hillgrove high school and another from Kennesaw Mountain, recognizing their achievements both on and off the field. This initiative is supported by BSN Sports.
Maci Tucker, a sophomore playing forward for the Lady Hawks soccer team at Hillgrove, has been distinguished for her remarkable performance. "Maci is a tenacity player with a nose for the goal," said Coach Shannon Center. He highlighted her ability to consistently score and create opportunities, noting her four consecutive hat tricks and five game-winning goals. Center added, "She challenges and raises the level of play of those around her."
Cameren Williams, a senior at Kennesaw Mountain and a dedicated track athlete for the Mustangs, achieved a school record in the 800m with a time of 1:53.47 and played a crucial part in the relay team that also set a school record. Coach Steve Copeland spoke fondly of Cameren, "He is a leader by example and through his mentorship of others." His contributions extend beyond track, having been a notable member of the Mustang Swim and Dive team.
Best wishes are extended to both athletes as they continue their academic and sports pursuits.
