Mrs. Haleigh Coleman, a kindergarten teacher at King Springs Elementary (KSE), has been honored as Teacher of the Year, a recognition decided by certified KSE employees. Mrs. Coleman was nominated by Hannah McAlpine, a 4th-grade teacher, who expressed, "As both a fellow educator and a parent of a student in her class, I have the unique privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact she has on her students." She further elaborated on Mrs. Coleman's teaching, stating, "Her thoughtful and detailed lesson plans ensure that each child is engaged, supported, and challenged at their own level."

Ms. McAlpine also highlighted Mrs. Coleman's dedication to communication, sharing how her weekly updates and pictures provide valuable insights for parents into their child's learning journey. "Mrs. Coleman's influence extends far beyond her classroom. Whether it's through her work on the writing committee or her involvement in school initiatives, she quietly makes a significant impact on both students and staff," McAlpine remarked.

The Cobb County School District seeks teachers who excel in instructional and academic strategies while acting as staunch advocates for their students. Teachers of the Year are acknowledged for their leadership roles and contributions to their school communities.

The announcement was made on March 25, 2025, during a King Springs Elementary staff meeting. Mrs. Coleman celebrated the distinction with her husband, Adam Coleman, and their friends and family. Reflecting the ideals of a dedicated educator, Mrs. Coleman is now eligible for the Cobb County School District's Teacher of the Year award, expected to be revealed during the upcoming pre-planning sessions.

In summary, Mrs. Coleman is recognized as an educator who brings dedication, compassion, and inspiration to her role at KSE. Congratulations to her on this achievement.
