Cobb Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.
In its seventh year, the Barter is Smarter Golf Tournament raised $10,000 to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation – Southeast Region. Over seven years, The Barter Company’s golf tournament has raised more than $60,000 to benefit the Foundation that provides financial, social and emotional support to thousands of families throughout the Southeast facing pediatric brain tumors.
The money raised from the tournament held early this month at St. Marlo Country Club in Duluth, GA, will help the Foundation work to eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors. Ric Zampatti, CEO of The Barter Company said: “We have proudly supported the Foundation for seven years via fundraising from this tournament. The Foundation does tremendous work helping the families of children in the Southeast who are living with the diagnosis of a brain tumor.”
Tammy Bates, National Director, Development Operations of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, said: “Money raised from The Barter Company’s golf tournament helps us serve families of children with pediatric brain tumors in 13 states in the Southeast region with education, financial assistance and emotional support. We believe that a world without childhood brain tumors is possible when we work together. We tremendously appreciate this support from The Barter Company.”
Staff members from The Barter Company proudly showcase a check representing the $10,000 raised from the golf tournament that will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation–Southeast Region.
